Planned, not dated
A Nintendo Switch version of Dressmaker is officially planned. That is the whole of what is confirmed: the developers have announced the intention and nothing else — no date, no window, no eShop listing. Every platform fact below comes from the Steam store listing or the developers’ own announcements.
- Nintendo Switch
- Planned — no release date announced
- Windows PC
- Available now on Steam (released September 21, 2026)
- Mac
- Available now on Steam
- Steam Deck
- Rated Playable by Valve
- Mobile (iOS / Android)
- Planned — no release date announced
- PlayStation / Xbox
- Not mentioned by the developers
What the developers have said
The only official statement about a Switch version is one sentence in the launch-day post on the game’s Steam news feed:
We’re also planning mobile and Switch ports, which have been requested constantly on our various social media channels.
Where you can play Dressmaker right now
Until the ports ship, the official ways to play are all on PC:
- Windows or Mac via Steam — released September 21, 2026, priced at $14.99 with regional pricing.
- Steam Deck — rated Playable: the default controller configuration works and performance is fine, but Valve flags small interface text and on-screen glyphs that do not always match the Deck’s buttons.
- The system requirements are deliberately gentle (Intel UHD 630 or an Apple M1 is enough), so most laptops already qualify.
- No console or mobile version is available yet — any store listing one is not from the developers.
What to watch for a Switch date
Context from the official announcements for anyone waiting on the port:
- The ports were one item on a longer launch-post roadmap that also listed an online challenge mode, transparent fabrics and controller support — the team has not said which ships first.
- The developers say the ports were "requested constantly" on their social channels: demand is acknowledged, scheduling is not.
- Neither post-launch patch (Build 403 on September 22, Build 410 on September 24) mentions console timing — both are fix lists.
- Official word will appear on the game’s Steam announcements feed first. This page is re-checked against it; the facts here were verified October 2, 2026.
